permafrostgame.net is an unofficial fan site about the 2026 survival sandbox by SpaceRocket Games. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SpaceRocket Games or Toplitz Productions, and nothing here is an official statement from either company.

What this site is

It is a free, independent guide hub: plain-language explanations of the game's systems, the official system requirements, store and release facts, and notes on co-op. It helps you get oriented faster; it does not speak for the game.

It is written by players for players, with no access to internal data and no channel to the developers beyond the official pages.

What this site is not

It is not the developer's site, the publisher's site, or a store. It cannot sell the game, grant access to it, or act on a game account in any way. It is not a news outlet with sources inside the studio, and it is not a substitute for the Steam page, the publisher's announcements or the game's own documentation.

Where an official statement exists, it is the authority; this site summarizes it and links out so you can read the original.

How dates and store facts are handled

Release dates, storefront listings, prices and feature lists are quoted from the stores and from the publisher's own news posts, and the source is attributed at the bottom of the page so you can check it against the live page. Release plans move: the publisher shifted the launch window to October 9, 2026 to finish the story-based sandbox, and the news post recording that change is cited rather than paraphrased from memory.

Store facts age quickly: a discount may be over, and a feature list may change between builds. The date on each article is when its facts were last checked, not a promise nothing has changed since.

Unconfirmed numbers

The game's internal figures are not published, so this site does not invent them. Anything that cannot be traced to an official page or a sourced guide is written as Unconfirmed (verify in-game) instead of being guessed. That applies to drop rates, damage figures, temperatures, timers and any other number the sources omit.

The rule lets a reader tell a verified fact from a placeholder: a confident guess is worse than an admitted gap.

What is deliberately missing

Several things you might expect from a fan wiki are absent on purpose, because the sources do not support them:

  • Named map regions and their layouts
  • Crafting recipe tables and ingredient counts
  • Exact stat values, thresholds and timers
  • The rules for shared progression in co-op sessions

None of it can be listed accurately without official data, so pages explain how those systems behave instead of inventing names. Where a gap matters, the page says so.

Verify what matters

Treat this site as a starting point. For anything that costs money or time, confirm it at the source: the store page for price, editions and features, and the publisher's news posts for dates and release plans. The Privacy Policy explains what the site records when you visit, and the Terms of Service covers how the information may be used.
